If you've been injured at work, you have the right to:
- File a Worker's Compensation claim for your injury or occupational disease.
- Seek medication treatment by a doctor
- Return to work when your physician has approved your release
- Receive disability pay if you are partially or totally disabled
- Appeal a denial
- Be represented by an attorney throughout the process
If an employer is requesting that you use your own health insurance for your medical expenses, you also have a right to refuse these requests.
If your employer is pressuring you to not file, you have a right to refuse this request as well. The law prohibits employer retaliation or harassment for filing a workers' compensation claim.
